Google Slides Add-on Help
Draft guide for setting up and using the PotentELL Google Slides translator.
Quick Start
- Open your Google Slides presentation.
- Go to Extensions and open the PotentELL add-on.
- Choose your source and target languages.
- Run translation and review slides before sharing.
Common Issues
- Add-on not visible: refresh Slides and check you are signed into the correct Google account.
- Permission errors: reopen the add-on and accept all required Google permissions.
- Some text not translated: check for locked elements or text inside images.
Best Practices
- Keep original copy in slide notes for easy teacher reference.
- Use consistent fonts that support accented characters.
- Preview each translated slide in presentation mode before class.
Free‑tier limits
- Maximum of two target languages per account.
- Up to five total slide translations per calendar month.
- Every translation application includes a PotentELL watermark in the lower-left corner of the slide.
Paid plans (Teacher Pro, AI Power, school and district licenses) provide unlimited slide/document translation and remove the PotentELL watermark.
