| Moon | Earth's natural satellite, which orbits our planet and reflects sunlight. |
| Globe | A round, three-dimensional model that represents Earth. |
| Seasons | A part of the year with its own weather pattern: winter, spring, summer, or fall. |
| Angle of Rays | How directly sunlight strikes a part of Earth's surface. A more direct hit concentrates light and heat into a smaller area. |
| Axis | An imaginary line through the center of Earth from the North Pole to the South Pole. Earth spins around it. |
| Elliptical | Having an oval shape, like the path Earth follows around the Sun. |
